COPS 8 Successes Due to the generosity of friends, businesses and patrons of the 8th District, COPS 8 has raised an encouraging amount of money through fundraisers, memberships, grants and donations.

Since 2002, COPS 8 has provided:

Annual gift certificates to all Officers for uniforms and accessories needed to do their job Annual holiday dinner and celebration for all Officers and their spouses Tuition for special training courses to enhance Offficers' skills A fund for an Officer with a serious illness Meals and snacks during major events when Officers are working long, stressful hours The "Kris Kringle for the Kids" toy drive to provide all Officers' children with holiday gifts Vespa scooters for the 8th District fleet A palomino horse for the Mounted Division which is very active in the French Quarter
